The RS-1000 TEEN BLACK BOX™ - How it works

Once the RS-1000 TEEN BLACK BOX™ is properly installed, any time the vehicle is driven in an unsafe manner (i.e., driving at high speeds, aggressive turning, braking, accelerating, etc.), the RS-1000 gives the driver an audible warning alert. If the driver ignores the warning and fails to take corrective action, a steady tone will sound until the unsafe condition is stopped. All unsafe driving is recorded in the driver scoring reports available for review when the RS-1000 data is downloaded to your home PC computer.

The RS-1000 monitors vehicle speed and G-forces caused by aggressive driving. It also monitors the sound decibel level inside the vehicle.

Simply plug the RS-1000 into your 1996 or newer vehicle’s data link connector (generally located under the driver's side dashboard) with the supplied Data Link Cable. Easy-to-follow detailed instructions are included. For 1995 and older vehicles, the RS-1000 will need to be hard-wire installed by a qualified automotive technician.

Data from the RS-1000 TEEN BLACK BOX™ can be reviewed by removing the Processor/Memory card from the RS-1000 in the vehicle and downloading it with our Base Station software running on your PC computer. In the Base Station, you can view the reports and graphs using our advanced data analysis software.
