Road Safety™ On-Board Computer Systems are successfully utilized on a wide range of emergency response vehicles and equipment including ambulances, fire trucks, police cars and airport crash rescue equipment. Our systems are utilized by US and Canadian Government agencies, utility companies, automobile manufacturers test cars throughout the United States, school buses and thousands of commercial fleet vehicles world wide.

Road Safety™ hardware and software are configured to meet your specific fleet requirements. Our RS-3000 On-Board Computer System is a 24 channel system that monitors and reports vehicle speed, vehicle RPM, vehicle stops, excess idle time, over speeds, over RPMs, hard accelerations, hard decelerations and daily distance. The 16 digital input channels monitor and report activities that are important to you. User defined digital inputs often monitor things like the use of seatbelts, turn signals, brakes, emergency lights, siren, auxiliary power, doors and warning lamps. The 4 analog input channels may be used to monitor g-force on the vehicle, ambient temperature, or most any other event you decide impacts fleet safety or operating costs. The on-board computer has a dedicated digital input for system tamper detection and a dedicated digital input for vehicle ignition sensing. The RS-3000 also has 6 digital output channels used to activate external devices or warning lights when your user defined parameters have been met.

Road Safety™ base station software runs on your existing office PC. Our exception reporting philosophy shows only what you want to see. Our easy to read reports give you the necessary information to control the way your vehicles are being driven. The RS-3000 also provides minute-by-minute and second-by-second reporting and analysis. This information is invaluable for training or in the event of an accident because it displays all vehicle operating parameters before, during and after any occurrence.

RS-3000 SafeForce System with RF Data Communications

RS-3001 On-Board Computer - Vehicle computer system. Monitors vehicle speed, RPM, ignition, system tamper notification, 9 additional user defined digital inputs and a 2-axis accelerometer. Includes 5 RS-232 serial ports and 6 digital outputs.

RS-3101 RS-3001 Wire Harness Set - Wiring Harness that connects RS-3001 on-board computer to vehicle input and output devices.

RS-3211 Driver ID Receiver - Accepts input from the SW-3212 Driver ID Tag. Logs ID onto the system automatically. Enables system to produce driver specific reports and all related database functions. Provides immediate audible feedback to the vehicle operator of user defined vehicle operating conditions.

RS-3231 SafeForce™ Accelerometer Module - Precision dual axis accelerometer measures vehicle acceleration, deceleration and lateral forces. Used as an input for SafeForce™ driving and scoring system.

RS-3099 Extended Warranty, Tech Support & Software Upgrades - Optional annual fee for each vehicle computer system. Includes 1 year extended on-board computer warranty, 24 hour toll free technical support hotline, "Live Assist" tech support where we provide training and assistance by remotely connecting to your computer, free software upgrades and exclusive access to the Extended Warranty Technical Support website featuring a web-based technical library.

All Road Safety™ systems and components carry a standard 90 day warranty from date of delivery. Warranty includes parts and labor, when returned, freight prepaid, to Road Safety International, Inc., Thousand Oaks, California for repair.

Standard and extended warranty does not cover damage caused by corrosion (i.e.: water damage), fire or destruction of the unit through accident of the vehicle in which installed.

RS-3187 Vehicle RF Data Transceiver - 900 MHz FH/Spread Spectrum - 900 MHz transceiver for communications with the RS-3000 base station RF system. Allows downloading and programming of vehicle and driver data from the vehicle computer system to the base station computer via wireless connection. The transceiver is exempt from licensing under FCC Part 15 rules.

RS-3196 Vehicle RF Antenna - Roof Mount 3db - 900 MHz roof mount antenna for the vehicle RF transceiver.

RS-3212 Driver ID Tag - Active ID button with a unique serial number assigned to the driver. Identification assigned to the ID tag is controlled by the base station software.

RS-3902 Spotter Switch Set & Harness - 2 momentary push button switches, 1 switch boot, and wiring harness. Enables system to report unsafe backing occurrences.

RS-3000 Base Station Software - Base Station application computer software and database for RS-3001 On-Board Computer system. Includes 1 diagnostic/loader cable, installation manual and operations manual. Licenses user to install software on 1 base station PC and 1 laptop PC. Software runs on Windows 3.1, Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME and XP.

RS-3213 Driver ID Tag Programmer - Allows direct input of driver ID tag into Base Station database.

RS-3182 Base Station RF Data Transceiver - 900 MHz FH/Spread Spectrum - 900 MHz transceiver for communications with the RS-3000 On-Board Computer RF system. Allows downloading and programming of vehicle and driver data from the vehicle computer system to the base station computer via wireless connection. The transceiver is exempt from licensing under FCC Part 15 rules.

RS-3194 Base Station RF Antenna - Whip 3db - 900 MHz antenna for base station RF transceiver. Provides 360 degree RF coverage.

RS-3199 Base Station Cable & Power Kit - Used for remote mounting of RS-3182 Base Station RF Data Transceiver.
